8/24/2021 0 Comments HummingbirdsThe a few of the unidentified plants have bloomed and thanks to their blossoms, colors and a few visiting hummingbirds, we now know what they are! Cardinal flowers! We may have had to take in our feeders, but its clear the hummingbirds are just as happy with this natural food source!

6/25/2020 0 Comments We Have Pollinators!Hummingbirds are pollinators, they often pickup a little pollen as they search flowers for nectar. As we don't have any flowering plants right now, a feeder is a good way to bring pollinators into your yard. It helps support them with food and hopefully they'll take an interest in the flowers when they bloom. Having feeders in your gardens is also a great way to view wildlife! Currently we have two ruby throated hummingbirds visiting our feeders. This one is female, the other we're not sure of yet. |
